The past few seasons have brought fresh challenges, and while I always make sure to squeeze in time for the things I love, I have not found time to write about them. But solstice is a great time for a fresh start, and it brings simple pleasures: lingering daylight, garden achievements, and of course: wonderous food. Stawberry season in particular is a fantastic reminder of why quality is worth waiting for.
A good strawberry needs little embellishment, but this recipe is a delight. Load up fresh berries on top of a few dallops of whole milk ricotta, then drizzle the lot with some rhubarb simple syrup. It is a perfect treat to end another long day.
